History and other comment

I got this machine for free. I keep it just because it looks very much like a Personal DECstation or perhaps a DEC3000/300-series computer. Today, a 486 peecee with only 12 MB RAM is pretty useless, unless you need a small low-noise, low-cost, low-power, low-performance NetBSD server/firewall (or something) :-).

Update, august 2007: I found out that this peecee accepts Parity SIMMs so RAM was upgraded to a full 64 MB using DEC SIMMs removed from my DEC 2000/300. With this new amount of RAM, this computer can run both W9x and NT 4.0. I 've now tried several older OS's on it, just for fun (listed above).
