History and other comments

I got this machine from Germany in the beginning of 2008. The MicroVAX 3100 series VAXen are the smallest of all MicroVAXen.

You can see that all 6 memory slots are occupied with single sided DEC proprietary ECC SIMMs (MS44-AA) 6 x 4 MB = 24 MB, plus the system board has 8 MB soldered on, in front of the SIMMs and the black connectors, so total RAM is 32 MB:
